The landmark victory came in an 11-5 thriller over Hoosier Heartland Conference (HHC) rival Tri-Central at Oracle Field. With this win, the Oracles improve to 15-4 overall (5-1 HHC) and solidify Coach Long’s status as one of the most successful figures in Indiana high school baseball history. Joining the Elite By reaching the 600-win mark, Long joins an exclusive circle, becoming only the 35th coach in Indiana history—and one of only 13 currently active—to enter the "600 Club." Characteristically, Coach Long remained focused on his players and the postseason push following the celebration. "It’s nice, but it’s just another game," Long remarked. "I’m glad to have that behind us. We have started to play decent baseball, and we need to focus on getting better and winning a championship." A Legacy of Excellence: From Frontier to Delphi Ryan Long’s journey to 600 wins spans nearly three decades of excellence. Before arriving at Delphi in 2015, Long spent 19 impactful seasons at Frontier High School, where he amassed 404 wins, 11 Midwest Conference titles, five Sectional championships, and two Regional championships. Since taking the helm of the Oracles, Long has maintained that standard of excellence. After a brief rebuilding year in 2015, he led the program to a dominant stretch, winning at least 17 games in each of the next eight seasons. His Delphi tenure has been highlighted by a "four-peat" of Sectional titles, two Regional championships, and two Final Four appearances. Double History: Breaking the Delphi Record The 600th win carried double the significance for the Oracle faithful. With his 196th win in a Delphi uniform, Coach Long officially surpassed the legendary Tony Berto to become the all-time winningest coach in Delphi baseball history.
