Another day, another step forward for the Girls Wrestling team. Today’s step however seemed bigger than most, as they took the top spot at the Speedway Invitational. This marks the first ever team championship for the girls in their inaugural season, and was only the second ever IHSAA sanctioned tournament they have been entered. They bested a field that included many much larger schools by enrollment with a dominate performance in the neutral position. Katie Emerson, Taylor Martin, Rebecca Kelly, AB Grimes, and Danielle Briseno all took runner up in their weight classes with Jaidyn Griffey taking 6th and the heroes of the day Kayda Peterson taking 7th and Karmen McIlrath taking 3rd by pin.
