3rd Annual Mike Atwood Memorial Wrestling Tournament - November 23, 2024 Delphi, IN – The 3rd Annual Mike Atwood Memorial Wrestling Tournament was held in Delphi, Indiana, honoring the legacy of Hall of Fame coach Mike Atwood, who made significant contributions to the wrestling programs at Delphi and North Newton. The tournament was a fitting tribute to Coach Mike Atwood's legacy. Mike was a coach who had a talent for helping kids who needed an outlet, and provided that through wrestling. The tournament in its third year has grown from a few local teams wanting to honor their friend and coach, into a highly competitive season kick-off event with teams actively trying to add it to their schedules. That intense competition was showcased throughout the day as Carroll (FW), Harrison, and Northridge were the top contenders. With a group consisting of Benton Central, Fountain Central, Lewis Cass, Seeger, Faith Christian, and Twin Lakes battled for middle positions. In the end the Carroll (Fort Wayne) Chargers emerged as the top team with a score of 580.0. The Harrison Raiders followed closely with 557.5 points, and the Northridge Raiders secured third place with 463.5 points.
