Delphi High School Highlights from Thanksgiving Week Basketball Games Delphi, Indiana – The Delphi High School Athletic Department is pleased to share the highlights from an exciting week of basketball over Thanksgiving. The Girls Varsity Basketball team had a mixed week, finishing with a 1-1 record. They secured a huge victory against conference opponent Clinton Central on Tuesday, November 26th, but fell to the North White Vikings on Saturday, November 30th. The girls' team now stands at 3-4 for the season and are 1-2 in Hoosier Heartland Conference play. A standout moment from the week was senior Jenna Roth's remarkable achievement. Roth became the 17th player and the 6th female in Delphi High School history to surpass 1,000 career points, scoring 22 points in the game against Clinton Central. This milestone places her among an elite group of Delphi athletes who have achieved this feat, including: Pat Manahan (2,003 points, 1973) Rainey Alting (1,984 points, 1996) Cole Murray (1,358 points, 2013) Kat Lang (1,320 points, 2018, 14-16 at North Newton) Kyle Groninger (1,288 points, 1998) Jerry Yerkes (1,208 points, 1958 - Camden) Kyle Wagner (1,192 points, 1992) Austin Hawn (1,162 points, 2011) Chad Houston (1,093 points, 1989) Whitney Arion (1,085 points, 2011) Brent Hawn (1,069 points, 2015) Myka Roth (1,068 points, 2016) Casey Stoner (1,066 points, 2003) Ron Galloway (1,064 points, 1960) Corey Barnard (1,037 points, 1996) Sarah Martin (1,010 points, 1996) Chase Almager (1,009 points, 2024) Jenna Roth (???, 2025) Her family were able to present her with the game ball she scored her 1,000th point with, and Saturday Coach Dave Gilbert and Delphi's all-time girls scoring champion presented her with a commemorative ball to mark the moment. She joined her sister Myka on the list, becoming the second set of siblings to score over 1,000 points, joining Brent and Austin Hawn with that distinction. The Boys Varsity Basketball team also had an eventful week. They faced a tough loss against Hoosier Heartland Conference opponent Rossville on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 27th. However, they bounced back with a resounding victory against the North White Vikings on Saturday, November 30th, with a final score of 71-14. This win marked Coach Chad Pulver's first victory as an Oracle. The boys' team now holds a 1-1 record for the season and are 0-1 in HHC play.
